Awang Seruji bin Haji Setia, maintaining his champion status in golf, snatched another men's championship title during a two-day event of the 22nd Pantai Mentiri Amateur Open Golf Championship 2008 over the weekend.

The ladies' championship title went to Agnes Hiu who also won the ladies' gross category with a score of 186, taking home $150 cash prize.

Also receiving $150 cash prize, Dayang Hajjah Azizah binti Hj Ahmad topped the ladies' nett category on 155 strokes.

Seruji won $1,000 in cash upon topping the men's gross category with 142 strokes followed by Arvin Chong with a score of 144 ($700) and James Lam (147) taking home $500.

In the men's nett category, Dato Paduka Hj Malai Ali bin Haji Malai Othman was first with a score of 137 and winning $500 followed by Jaidin bin Haji Berudin ($400) and Tej Bahadur Gurung ($300) both with a score of 141.

Haji Mohd Roger (156) topped the senior gross category and won $300 followed by Haji Mohd Yussop bin Hj Abd Latif (164) $200 and Haji Omar bin Haji Asmat (170) $100.

The guest-of-honour, Dato Paduka Hj Malai Ali, chairman of the Pantai Mentiri Golf Club gave away the prizes to the winners.
