Chieng Hock Hing
and Pg Hj Tejuddin Pg Hj Othman emerged as the overall gross and
nett winners of the 2008 AGM Golf Tournament, which was held at
the RBA Golf Club yesterday.
Pg Hj Tejuddin came top with an impressive result to win the
best nett category with a nett score of 61.
Chieng Hock Hing carded a gross score of 77, beating other
challengers to win the title.
In Division A, Hj Bagol Momin claimed the title with a nett
score of 69. Pg Hj Yaakub PHS was in second place followed by Pg
Hj Johari Pg Hj Daud and Hj Sulaiman Metussin.
In Division B, Abg Hj Osman with a nett score of 73 came top,
followed by Pg Dato Hj Mustapha, Lt Col (Rtd) Hj Abd Aziz and Pg
Dato Hj Abidin.
Solomon Soo emerged as the winner in the Division C category
with a nett score of 79, while Liow Chee Hwa came in second
place.
In the novelty prize contest, Pg Hj Johari Pg Hj Daud won
nearest to pin at hole 2, Chieng Hock Hing won nearest to pin at
hole 5, Pg Dato Hj Abidin won nearest to pin at hole 12, Hj
Sulaiman Metussin won nearest to pin at hole 14 and Abg Hj Osman
won in nearest to pin at hole 16.
Pg Dato Hj Abidin, Chairman of the Brunei Darussalam Association
of Senior Golfers gave out the prizes to the winners.
The event was held in conjunction with the Annual General
Meeting (AGM) of the association held in the morning. The next
monthly tournament - ADO Golf Tournament - will be held on March
24.
